A few things to keep in mind when you are researching your vehicle shipment.
- Nearly every company you contact is a broker but most will present themselves as an actual carrier. Car transporters are in the business of transporting cars, not finding new customers. This is why the industry overwhelmingly relies on seasoned brokers such as Montway Auto Transport.
- The cheapest price is never a guaranteed price. Many companies will quote you an abnormally low price but will be unable to successfully find you a carrier, delaying your shipment.
- Booking with multiple companies for your vehicle transport actually hurts you as it creates a bidding war against yourself on the national board that all carriers and brokers use to post and find shipments.
- Dates are estimated. Many factors such as truck and driver availability, traffic, weather, breakdowns, and even the route, can impact actual shipping dates.
- Companies that say they will have a truck in your area tomorrow are lying to you. Brokers do not own trucks or have drivers.
